Retail Food and Hospitality Brexit round-up 14 October

Last week's optimism for a deal has given way to talk of transition being extended by another year.  It now looks like we will not get the answers we need anytime soon, which makes planning all the more challenging.

We also wait for the tidal wave of amendments to legislation to start to arrive.  With around 7,500 EU Regulations to be transposed into UK law there is a vast amount of work to be done and much for us to follow in the coming months.

EU and UK Brexit negotiation leads provide updates on Brexit negotiations: Michel Barnier has delivered a detailed speech to a Eurochambres eventsetting out the EU position on the NI backstop and future relationship.  Dominic Raab Secretary of State at the Department for Exiting the EU made a statement to parliament on 9th October. View >
