The insurer, the insured and the broker; building a successful relationship in difficult times

Date: 07 October 2020, 09:00 - 10:00
Location: Online webinar
Medium banner insurance

This event forms part of our "What's Keeping You Up At Night?" series, a programme of events which focuses on current key themes which are of concern to our clients.

Event Details

A pandemic and a hard insurance market make for challenging times for businesses requiring insurance, and the insurers providing cover. Brokers are asked to conjure up solutions to difficult problems. Even stellar claims histories don't protect businesses against hefty premium increases.

This event, led by guest speakers from Zurich ('the insurer'), Arcadia('the insured'), and Lockton ('the broker'), will help you understand the challenges from a variety of perspectives, and offer pearls of wisdom as to how to build a successful relationship with each other and weather the storm together.

We will explore three core topics:

  • A hard time for renewal – assessing the risk and setting the premium.
  • Understanding the risk and maintaining effective dialogue during the policy year.
  • What can the insurer, insured and broker do to adapt during hard times?
