Experience


Sharon has a degree in biochemistry and a previous career within pharmaceutical sales. She decided to retrain as a lawyer, completing her Graduate Diploma in Law in 2005 and Legal Practice Course in 2006. She has been advising and representing healthcare practitioners and institutional clients in both clinical negligence claims and healthcare regulatory investigations since February 2007, initially as a paralegal before training and then qualifying as a solicitor in November 2010.
 
She has a wide range of experience in clinical negligence claims including high value complex cases and Fatal Accident Act claims. Her cases have involved a broad spectrum of medical specialities including spinal and brain injuries, delay or misdiagnosis of cancer, claims arising from cosmetic, orthopaedic and general surgeries, negligent prescriptions and a wide range of dental claims.
 
Sharon also has extensive experience of representing practitioners before their regulatory bodies including the GMC, GDC, NMC and HCPC as well as well as defending practitioners who are the subject of NHS England, Hospital Trust and/or NHS Ombudsman investigations. Sharon is also experienced in advising and representing practitioners at Inquests and advising in criminal investigations.
